Santa Marta, Colombia – The Del Mar a la Cima mountain race is one of the most challenging and rewarding in the world. It takes place in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, a mountain range located in the Colombian Caribbean, and offers participants the opportunity to experience the natural beauty and culture of this unique region.
The race is divided into six distances: 12K, 24K, 42K, 60K, 80K and 110K. The 12K route is the shortest and easiest, while the 110K route is the longest and most challenging. All routes begin at Taganga Beach, on the Caribbean coast, and end at the top of Pico Cristóbal Colón, the highest point in Colombia.
The race route passes through a variety of landscapes, from white sand beaches to tropical forests and cloud jungles. Participants will also have the opportunity to visit indigenous towns and learn about the culture of the Sierra Nevada.
